At S2i2, we believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting those who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting others. That’s why we are proud to highlight our recent affiliation with Smoking Shields and Cigars for Warriors.
Smoking Shields, founded in 2015, is a fraternal organization of law enforcement professionals who share a love for premium cigars and a desire to support our Nation’s heroes. The primary objective of Smoking Shields is to offer financial assistance to law enforcement professionals, military personnel, and their immediate families across the country. The organization comprises members from various areas of law enforcement, including federal, state, county, city, and town agencies.
In May 2023, the Virginia chapter of Smoking Shields found itself two members short of the required number to be considered an official chapter. Recognizing the importance of this organization, S2i2 Program Managers, David Nawrocki and Kevin Haimovici, joined as members to help create the official Virginia chapter.
One of Smoking Shields’ key partnerships is with Cigars for Warriors, a charitable organization dedicated to supporting deployed servicemembers. Members of the Virginia chapter, including S2i2 employees, and S2i2 as a company, donated cigars to the Cigars for Warriors program.
Cigars for Warriors recognizes there are service members deployed in combat zones or stationed in remote locations who don’t receive care packages from home. To express gratitude for their service, the organization collects and disperses premium cigars and accessories to troops serving in these environments. By providing moments of reassurance and relaxation, Cigars for Warriors ensure that these courageous men and women can find solace and enjoyment amidst the demands of their duties.
