At S2i2, our strength comes from the people behind the mission. This month, we’re proud to highlight Anthea Moran, a Jr. Change Manager supporting storage services and backup under the DISA J9 contract.
Anthea brings a strong foundation in cybersecurity and IT operations to her role. Before her promotion to Jr. Change Manager, she served as a Watch Officer with the OMS and ECAMS teams, providing 24/7 monitoring and operational support for DoD and Intelligence Community systems. Earlier in her career, she spent nearly four years as a Cyber SOC Analyst at SecuLore, where she advanced from Analyst II to Analyst III. In that role, she investigated large-scale network traffic, developed automated threat-identification tools, and supported incident response efforts that protected public safety and critical infrastructure. She also worked as an analyst at ZeroFox, focusing on social media threat analysis and phishing detection.
This hands-on experience, combined with her M.S. degree in Cybersecurity Technology from the University of Maryland, a B.S. in Applied Computational Mathematics from Bowie State University, and a CompTIA Security+ certification, gives her the analytical skills and communication expertise essential to effective change management.
In her current role, Anthea processes and manages change tickets to ensure timely resolution and compliance with standards. She coordinates schedules, documentation, and approvals to streamline workflows, while applying her organizational skills to prioritize tasks, track progress, and support cross-team initiatives. Drawing from her operational background, she brings a clear understanding of continuity and reliability to her work, helping ensure smooth transitions for mission partners who depend on secure, accessible systems every day.
When asked about her strengths, Anthea highlights her cybersecurity knowledge, analytical thinking, and mathematical foundation. These skills help her break down complex challenges into clear, actionable solutions that keep operations moving forward.
Outside of work, Anthea enjoys Zumba as a fun way to recharge. She also values the people around her most of all: “I work with a smart, supportive team that makes every day better,” she shares.
